Due to hazardous road conditions, De Queen Public Schools will be delaying the start of school to 10 AM. Bus routes in the county will be starting between 8 and 8:30. Bus routes in the city will be starting between 8:45 and 9.

A HUGE THANKS to De Queen First Assembly for replinishing our school supplies today. This is a huge help every year and much appreciated!

De Queen Public Schools will return to school on Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
We know it will be extremely cold in the morning, and buses may run a little late. Our bus drivers will take their time at each stop so that children can be kept indoors to stay warm. Please be safe in the morning and we will see you all at school.

Due to icy road conditions, De Queen Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16th.
This school day will be made up on Friday, Feb. 16th.

FYI....the Miss DHS pageant has been rescheduled for Feb. 10th.

Thanksgiving Break

National Young Readers Day is celebrated during National Young Readers Week on the second Tuesday in November every year. The day was created to remind Americans about the importance of reading for children.

Our food collection contest is in full swing! Thank you to everyone who has already donated food! All food donated is put into our Primary Food Pantry and given to our students in need. The winning grade will receive a popsicle party and an extra 30 min recess. Thank you !
Last day to turn in food is Friday Nov. 17th !

First grade would like to thank Simple Simons Pizza for feeding first grade and supporting our school through the hallway war competitions. They enjoyed their pizza!!!

We have the sweetest most colorful Kindergarten teachers around! They are a hallway full of sweetness today 😍

Our Primary Food Collection Contest starts tomorrow, Nov 1st! The winning grade will get an extra recess and popsicle party. Please only bring food listed on this document. Each individual item will count as a point. Ex: A box of 25 oatmeal packages will count as 25 points. This food drive will end on Friday, Nov 17th. This will help stock our Primary Food Pantry for some of our students in need.
