Progress reports will be sent home on Friday, September 12th.

These first-grade students from Mrs. Calderon, Mrs. Murphy, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Toye, and Mrs. Wilkeron's classes are flying through levels in their Rocket Math addition!

These students from Mrs. Melendez, Mrs. Ralls, Mrs. Simmons, and Mrs. Westfall's classes passed Level Z in Rocket Math! Great job learning your math facts!

Students from Mrs. Carrell, Mrs. Toye, and Mrs. Kendrick's classes earned 25 points in A.R. and were rewarded with a lunch book club. They read the book Biscuit Wins a Prize and had a pretend pet show together. Great reading!

Students from Ms. Naik, Mrs. Johnson, and Mrs. Medina's classes were rewarded with a book club lunch when they earned 30 A.R. points. They read the book Stink: Freaky Frog Freakout and learned a lot of interesting facts about frogs. Keep up the good work!

Students from Mrs. Simmons and Ms. Naik's class earned an amazing 70 points in A.R.!! They were rewarded with a book club lunch where they read the book I Survived the Shark Attacks of 1916. They discussed the book and learned some fun shark facts. What awesome readers!!

Kindergarten students from Mrs. Parson, Ms. Gonzalez, Mrs. Pearce, and Mrs. Kirkpatrick's classes earned a special lunch party for knowing all their uppercase and lowercase letters on their first report card! We are so proud of our little learners!!

Arizbeth Velasco and Eleanor Kramer spent their PAWS points to join Mrs. McCastlain for a cozy afternoon at Camp Read-A-Lot in the library!

They played games, read great books, made gooey s’mores, and sipped hot chocolate while enjoying all the campfire vibes (no bug spray needed! ).

Way to go, readers !! Your hard work really pays in PAWS points!

Congratulations! DeQueen Primary has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school where students are Beating the Odds by demonstrating high growth on the ATLAS, despite facing economic challenges outside of school!

📚 Reminder to our Leopard Family: De Queen Public Schools will release early at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 16th. Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place that evening from 2:30–7:00 PM.
