My name is Kayla Morris and I’m a Kindergarten teacher at De Queen Primary School. I am thrilled to live in the community which I grew up and work at the school that I attended: Once a Leopard, Always a Leopard!
I am so grateful to have, what I believe is the best job in the world. I have a passion for children and education and I love what I do. I graduated from De Queen High School and I received my Bachelor’s from Southern Arkansas University.
I love crafting, spending time with my family & friends, shopping and learning new teaching trends!
Why I Became a Teacher:
I believe that part of me has always known that I was going to become a teacher. As I went through my years as a student, I looked back on the values that had been instilled in me as a child by many of my teachers, and once I realized the impact that teachers had on me, I chose teaching as my profession. I believe in our future and I also believe that our children are our future. I became a teacher in hopes of having the same impact on a child or children as my teachers had on me. My goal is to provide them with not only knowledge but and a respect for learning and growth and curiosity that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
